Rally for Blood – Preparations for Budapest-Bamako 2026 Are Underway
We may not have sand, but we certainly have plenty of snow… and a starting number: 654!
That can only mean one thing — preparations for the legendary Budapest–Bamako 2026 Rally are in full swing.
A team from Warmia and Mazury – divers and pilots – is already training, planning, and preparing equipment for a journey of more than 9,000 kilometers. Their destination is Freetown, Sierra Leone, while promoting our region, an active lifestyle, and the importance of staying healthy through sport and passion along the way.
For our team, this is much more than just a rally.
It is, above all, a social and humanitarian mission.
Throughout the expedition, we will also promote the idea of voluntary blood donation. In every country we pass through, we will explore and share information about how blood donation systems and blood collection services operate locally.

We officially start on February 17, 2026, and we are certain that people will be hearing about our team long before the official start of the Budapest-Bamako Rally – which for us has become the true Rally for Blood.
We are also bringing real support to children and local communities in Central and Western Africa.
Our vehicles will carry:
- school supplies,
- sports equipment,
- and materials that can genuinely help local communities.
Even now, we can already imagine African children wearing jerseys of the Polish national volleyball team – and moments like these are exactly why challenges like this are worth taking on.
Ahead of us lies a great adventure, incredible emotions, and an even greater responsibility.
